Dzintars – one of the ancient producers of perfumes and biocosmetics that was founded in 1849 by Riga pharmacist G.Briger, in our days keeps to the traditions of liability to a customer for its products quality.

Dzintars products – high quality perfumes and biocosmetics. Processes on the development, production and products sales of the Company meet strict requirements of the standards: ISO 9001 (quality system), ISO 14001 (environment protection system), ISO 22716 GMP Cosmetic (Good Manufactory Practice). The raw material, perfume and cosmetics testing laboratory was accredited by LATAK as to certification against the international standard ISO 17025. State-of-the-art development of the Company – the new generation natural and organic cosmetics certified by French company ECOCERT (series of cosmetic products «Organic Style»). Clear-cut and systematic control over technological processes, thorough selection and control over raw materials guarantee reliability and quality of the products made.
New products development is carried out in the laboratory of innovative products developed by highly qualified specialists in the sphere of cosmetics, perfume and design under the monitoring of pharmacist, dermatologist, ophthalmologist and expert-toxicologist. To study the action of cosmetic products on the skin there was established the physiological parameters testing laboratory. The laboratory specialists had trained in Germany, where Dzintars acquired the high scientific class equipment enabling to control the received effect in the process of a cosmetic product development and objectively to strive for the declared action.
In addition to the production of biocosmetics, perfume and decorative cosmetics AS Dzintars owns a tool shop for manufacturing press molds, carton and plastic packing production shop.
There are 159 patents and 119 trademarks in the intellectual property of Dzintars. In 2007 the Company was granted the most prestigious award of the World Intellectual Property Organization - WIPO Trophy for Innovative Enterprises – a golden medal and a deed. From an idea to the finished product!
Dzintars performs orders on a contractual basis within the limits of a complete production cycle. Developments are possible both as separate perfumes and cosmetics and whole lines.
By your order the Company is capable of developing and producing:
- perfumes;
- traditional face, body and hair care cosmetics;
- organic cosmetics including certification in ECOCERT;
- anti-age cosmetics - anti-age and anti-wrinkle;
- deep moisturizers;
- a complete line of nail care products;
- special foot care products designated for diabetics;
- teenagers’ cosmetics;
- decorative cosmetics (mascara, eyelash repair balm, lipstick, lip gloss, lip balm, make-up foundation, nail enamel /nail polish, nail care products).
Production on a contract basis comprises recipes development and all tests required: physical and chemical analyses, expert/toxicologist’s conclusion on products safety, clinical relevance, product efficiency acknowledgement, microbiological conclusion, guaranteed stability within 30 months.
If preferred by a customer there may be developed a package design and presentation and advertising materials.

The combined use of innovative and carefully selected natural ingredients made it possible to create cosmetic products well-tolerated even by a very sensitive skin. The probability of an allergic reaction to them is much lower than to other products. The series includes tonics, creams, balms and serums for different skin types all having light texture that allows them to be quickly absorbed by the skin leaving a pleasant sensation of freshness and comfort.
ALTAI Sea Buckthorn series does not contain allergens, parabens, genetically modified products, ingredients of animal origin, synthetic dyes, derivatives of polyethylenglycol derivatives.

Sea-buckthorn oil - having a wonderful softening, moisturizing and nourishing effect, the oil prevents the first signs of ageing and the formation of early wrinkles. Sea buckthorn oil reduces the excessive secretion of skin fat.
Hyaluronic acid - is an essential structural element of connective tissue in our body and one of the most important substances filling up intercellular space. As we grow older hyaluronic acid content in intercellular space is reduced and skin loses its natural ability to retain moisture. This leads to skin dryness, the worsening of its elasticity and tone, the appearance of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid used by us forms a semi-permeable film on skin surface which retains moisture, pulls up the top layer of skin and reduces wrinkles and folds.
The biopeptide - effectively stimulates collagen synthesis, protects it from damage, stimulates the synthesis of hyaluronic acid even in "old" cells, reduces wrinkles and improves skin smoothness.

Dermatological testing in accordance with " The Guidelines for the testing of cosmetic products for human skin tolerability assessment » COLIPA, 1997
The testing of physiological skin parameters - measurements were made using Multi Probe Adapter (MPA 9), COURAGE-KHAZAKA GmbH production, Germany. Testing was conducted under direct supervision of dermatologist.
The testing of consumer properties was carried out by questioning two age groups:
Group I - 36 to 50 years (40 respondents)
Group II - 50 + years (40 respondents)
